I have not read any reports from 150 lb riders that got a good suspension set up. Opposite anything I have ever come across before. Because of the odd weight bias of the bike with rider on the bike, most of the rider weight ends up on the back end, therfore, heavier riders need lighter initial spring rates in the front. I think this is one of the keys to getting the Roadster to handle well. If you compare my spring rates to the Progressive progressive spring, the inital rate is softer and the final rate is harder.

Then I stiffened them up just enough to get good dampening under all riding conditions and throughout the fork travel. What I actually did was make the foks softer and softer until they were so soft the front tire would bounce and chatter over rough bumps. So far, I am the only one using 10 w fork oil. Yet with my forks set up as I describe below, the initial rate of my forks are softer than lighter weight guys, yet the bike handles better. I weigh 230 - 260 lbs, depending on what gear is in the saddlebags.
